1. Purpose
Ask4Date exists to help people make genuine, heartfelt connections. Our platform is built on the belief that asking someone on a date is an act of courage that deserves respect — for both the person asking and the person being asked.
These Guidelines define the boundaries of acceptable use. They apply to all users, including Creators (those who send proposals) and Recipients (those who receive them). Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban.
2. What Is Allowed
- Sending sincere, respectful date proposals to people you know personally
- Using all available tones — Romantic, Funny, Chill, Rizz — as intended
- Including a personal message that reflects your genuine feelings
- Sending proposals in any of the 20+ supported languages
- Using the platform for creative, thoughtful, one-on-one invitations
- Scheduling proposals to be sent at a specific time for a special occasion
3. What Is Not Allowed
Zero tolerance: Any proposal involving minors, non-consensual content, or targeted harassment will result in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Harassment & intimidation
- Sending proposals to someone who has explicitly asked you not to contact them
- Sending multiple proposals to the same person after a clear rejection
- Using the platform to threaten, coerce, or intimidate anyone
- Sending proposals designed to humiliate or publicly shame someone
Inappropriate content
- Any sexual content involving persons under 18
- Explicit sexual propositions to strangers
- Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
- Content that promotes violence or illegal activities
Deception & impersonation
- Creating a proposal while pretending to be someone else
- Using fake names or identities to mislead the recipient
- Sending proposals on behalf of another person without their knowledge and consent
Platform abuse
- Creating multiple accounts to bypass the free invitation limit
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to create proposals in bulk
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or scrape the platform
- Reselling, redistributing, or commercializing the platform or its outputs
4. Proposal Content Rules
The personal message field (optional) is a space for genuine, personal expression. When writing your message:
- Keep it authentic — write from your heart, not to impress an algorithm
- Avoid graphic sexual language — the platform is for date invitations, not explicit messaging
- Do not include personal information about the recipient (address, workplace, daily routine) in a way that could feel threatening or surveillance-like
- Do not make ultimatums or conditional statements that pressure the recipient
AI-generated content is filtered for appropriateness. If the AI produces something unexpected, you can regenerate or use the fallback text. The final proposal is sent under your name — you are responsible for its content.
5. Respect for Recipients
Recipients have the right to decline without explanation. A "No" answer — or no answer at all — must be respected immediately and unconditionally.
- Do not contact a recipient through other channels to pressure them after they decline on Ask4Date
- Recipient data (email address, if provided) is used solely to deliver the proposal — it may not be extracted, stored externally, or used for other purposes
- The platform collects recipient preferences (slot, activity) on behalf of the Creator. This data is confidential and must not be shared without the recipient's knowledge
Recipients who feel unsafe or harassed by a proposal can report it directly at safety@askfordate.app.
6. Anti-Abuse Policy
Free plan protections
The free plan is limited to one invitation per user. We use email address, IP address, and browser fingerprint to enforce this limit. Attempting to circumvent these checks by using VPNs, different browsers, or multiple email addresses constitutes a violation of these Guidelines and our Terms of Service.
Rate limiting
All API endpoints are rate-limited to protect the platform and its users from automated abuse. Repeated violations of rate limits may result in IP-level blocks.
Email sending
Sending proposal emails is limited to paid plans. Sending unsolicited proposal emails to people you do not know constitutes spam and is a violation of these Guidelines as well as applicable anti-spam laws (including the EU's ePrivacy Directive).
7. Enforcement
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may take the following actions:
| Action | When applied |
|---|---|
| Warning | First-time minor violations (e.g., duplicate free account attempt) |
| Proposal removal | Proposals containing prohibited content |
| Temporary suspension | Repeated violations or moderate-severity violations |
| Permanent ban | Severe violations (harassment, CSAM, fraud) or repeat offenders |
| Legal referral | Violations involving illegal content, including reports to law enforcement |
We do not actively monitor the content of proposals. Enforcement is primarily triggered by user reports and automated detection of policy violations.
8. Reporting a Violation
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Guidelines:
- Safety issues (harassment, threats): safety@askfordate.app — we prioritize these and aim to respond within 24 hours.
- General violations: support@askfordate.app
- CSAM or serious illegal content: Report directly to INHOPE Romania or your local law enforcement, in addition to contacting us.
All reports are confidential. We do not disclose reporter identity to the reported user.
